Hi All,

Another message drawing your attention to a few important things. I assume you prefer I bunch them all together into one email rather that you receive several uwh-announce messages from Pesky President.

1. Apologies to Cardiac Concerns and Plying Pucksters for having you down as "D Grade" on the roster I sent yesterday. I have amended that mistake in the attached.

2. I'm looking for GUILD REF VOLUNTEERS for two games tomorrow night - for the D Grade game at 7.51pm in Court 2, and for the B Grade game at 9.03pm in Court 3. Ariba Amoebas are down to ref the B Grade game but they are still gaining experience and knowledge in the reffing department after having come up from D Grade. If you can help out with in-water reffing in either of those two games, please let me know.

3. D Grade/new players, please note that your game is at 7.51pm in Court 2, not at 8.27pm as perhaps indicated by Simon earlier.

4. As I hope you are all aware, your REGISTRATION FEES need to be paid before you play your 5th game of uwhockey for this pennant. So, if you have played all games so far and are playing tomorrow night, you need to pay your rego by the time you hop in the water next week (Week 5). If you play a 5th game and have not paid your rego, your team will face a forfeit penalty. This does not include games you may have played as a Recruit in a higher grade. It only applies to games you have played with your 'normal' team.
Rego fees are as follows:
Senior    : $70
Student : $65 (Student card required)
Junior : $60 (U18), ($40 if registered with a schools team in the high schools competition)
To pay your rego, go to the desk at pool-side (i.e. our uwhockey desk next to the Grandstand, not the Reception Desk of the pool.

5. Pieter and Jeremy were busy at the pool last night, drilling holes into the plastic GOAL TRAYS. This is to enable the goals to be secured by a bolt to the pool bottom to prevent them from moving around. Unfortunately, not all the screw holes in goal areas are in exactly the same spot, so the goal trays (with their newly drilled holes) are now specific to each end of each Court (Hmmm, does that make sense?!). The goal trays are labelled to indicate which Court and which end they are specific to:
1G = court 1 grandstand side
1SP= court 1 small pool side

2G = court 2 Grandstand side
2SP= court 2 small pool side

3G = court 3 Grandstand side
3SP = court 3 small pool side

So, if you are off-loading goal trays off the trolley, please make sure ther are off-loaded to the correct Court and correct side of the pool.

6. After all the fine work that Pieter and Jeremy did at the pool last night they emerged from the water to discover something very disappointing and very annoying......Here is an extract from Pieter's email of this morning:

"Jeremy did a great job last night but no thanks to the members who left the clean up to us two, including leaving a goal in the water, and pucks strewn around the pool. After we finished at 9.40 we then had to clean up other people's shit, and didn't even get a game ourselves and left the pool at 10.05 pm."

CAN ALL THOSE WHO ATTEND TRAINING ON MON NIGHTS PLEASE ASSIST WITH PACK-UP !!. If everyone pitches in it takes no time at all. If left to a few, it takes quite a lot of time and effort.

7. Our Desk Attendant, Claire, is working backstage at Wizard of Oz this week and next, and her partner Christian will be manning the desk in her place. Please make Christian welcome (you may have already met him during weeks 1 & 2).

Sorry, that's a lot of stuff, but it's all important.

Craig
