Hi All,
Just a follow-up to Simon's message of this morning with roster........
Firstly, Simon's pdf roster appears to be missing the all important time column. Hopefully Simon will be resending a more complete version soon, but without that column you should be able to work when your team is playing (first game 7.15pm, second game 7.51pm, third game 8.27pm, fourth game 9.03pm, and lucky last game 9.39pm). And first named team is black bats.
Secondly, AND VERY IMPORTANTLY, TO ALL D GRADE players (including those persons wanting to take up uwhockey for the first time),
We are struggling to identify how many D Grade players and new starters we actually have. The turnouts on the past two Wed nights have been very low. It is essential that you turn out this week, or, if you can't be there for any reason, please advise me asap that you definitely want to be put into a D Grade team.
If you can be at the pool tomorrow night, please be there no later than 7.50pm so we have time to get things organised before the D Grade time slot at 8.27pm. I will be around the desk pool-side, so please seek me out (Jeremy Crawford is away this week otherwise he would be organising it).
Thirdly, where you see "Terror Aquaticus" on the roster, that should read "Dead Penguins". Don't ask.
Fourthly, it is the responsibility of Deck Refs to make sure the Team/Score sheets are completely filled out prior to the sheets being handed in to the desk after the game. During the first 2 weeks, several sheets have been handed in missing important details (e.g. names of refs, B & F votes, goals tallied). Claire on the desk does not have time to go chasing those details. If your team is reffing and you submit incomplete sheets to the desk, your team may be penalised points. Simple as that.
Lastly, a lot of gear is being picked up at the end of each Wed night. We will have a lost property box next to the desk, but if gear remains unclaimed after a couple of weeks, that gear will be put into the general pool of gear to be used by Schools players and try-out sessions etc. PLEASE make sure you gather up your gear at the end of your game and check the grandstand before you leave the pool for any gear that you may have forgotten to put in your bag.
Craig
