[Uwh-announce] Tonight's start to Pennant

Hi All,

Excited about tonight’s start to the new Pennant ?  Hey, I know I am ! I’ve just about ironed out all the creases in my bathers and they’re ready to go.

I have attached the draft roster that Simon sent out on Monday. As far as I know there have been no changes to tonight’s games.  The more observant amongst you will have noticed that in Simon's version the dates were out by one day. But yes, we do start tonight, not tomorrow.  Captains, please distribute this message to your team members, in case there are some not on uwh-announce.

Now, just a few important things:
1)	Our new Desk Attendant, Claire Morford-Waite, will be starting tonight. Please introduce yourselves and make Claire very welcome. Remember, she’s the boss at the desk, not you !
2)	We are going to try a new spot for the desk. It will be down near at the changerooms end of the grandstand. We feel this might work better as it will hopefully be easier to access and will make a good focal point at the ‘entrance’ to our assembly area (i.e. the grandstand).
3)	Registrations will start next week, not tonight. We are having a TUHA Committee Meeting next Tuesday and will be deciding on the Registration fees at that meeting, as well as making decisions on a guild reffing system following Marty’s recent survey.
4)	Jeremy and Marty have been very busy of late, developing a new sounding system for our 3 courts. This new system will provide electronic buzzers/sounders for Courts 1 & 3.  Court 2 will have the clanger/donger system that used to be used in Court 3.
5)	Jeremy and Marty have also done some modifications to the metal joiners for the walls, with the intention of making the wall installation easier.  Teams that are playing in the first games, could you please get to the pool extra early and be ready to get the walls in, so we can get the games going on time at 7.15pm.
6)	Don’t worry, Be happy !

And lastly, don’t forget to come to Prince of Wales Hotel (Hampden Rd, Battery Point) after your game if you would like to gather with your fellow underwater hockey players over a drink or two.
