TUCS LANs
TUCS holds regular LANs, approximately monthly during semester and sporadically other times.
LANs kick off at 11 AM on a Saturday and go through to Sunday morning but feel free to drop in and leave as you like.
LANs are held in the Law 131 seminar room (unless otherwise noted). This room is on the bottom floor of the Law building. The only access to this area is from the very bottom doors, accessible from near the CIS building and carpark - the other doors to the Law building remain locked.
Cost is $10 and we provide a barbecue lunch (we like our meat) but an evening meal is up to you (we may organise a pizza run, subject to demand).
When coming to LAN remember to bring a power-board and a network cable. We provide, at least, gigabit switch with 16 ports and a 24 port 10/100 switch (first in best dressed!) with DHCP.
We play a variety of games. RTS games in the Command and Conquer series (Zero Hour and CnC 3 especially) are popular. FPS games are usually Unreal Tournament 3 and Call of Duty 4. The flavour of the month changes often, however.
