About Us
TUCS is a non profit organisation of the Tasmanian University Union. As well as representing the body of Computing and Information Systems Students at UTAS, we provide services to students and staff wishing to learn or use web based technologies, such as online tutorials, web page hosting, and network file storage. We also host social events, such as BBQ’s and LAN parties.
History
Since being founded in 1999 (as IDS, the Internet Developers Society), TUCS has relied on the help of many volunteers, without whom it would not exist today. Take a look at the History page for detail
